CORPORATE EXPERIENCE
Joe Garrett is Executive Vice President of the Private Capital Advisors for the Dallas/Fort Worth office of Colliers International, specializing in office, retail, and industrial building investment sales. Joe Garrett has accumulated more than three decades of commercial real estate experience. Prior to joining Colliers International, Mr. Garrett brings invaluable experience in virtually all types of real estate assignments for major corporations, lenders, institutions, as well as private, governmental and other pension advisory firms. Mr. Garrett has been responsible for handling commercial real estate transactions in excess of $1 billion. These transactions included site acquisitions, property dispositions, portfolio management, and development.

Mr. Garrett has often served as an industry expert, having appeared as a speaker on institutional grade real estate investments at a number of national conferences, as well as a contributing editor of a recently published institutional real estate portfolio management book to be used by major universities as a textbook in executive MBA programs. Mr. Garrett’s articles and interviews have appeared in Pension & Investment Age, Pension World, Commercial Property News and National Real Estate Investor. Mr. Garrett attained the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, considered the “producer’s master’s degree” in real estate in 2006. Mr. Garrett is active in the North Texas Chapter of CCIM. He is past Education Director, past Secretary, and presently serves as Treasurer of the Chapter. He also sits on the Board of Directors of the CCIM Institute. Mr. Garrett is a member of the graduate chapter of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He is a past member of the President’s Council of Dallas Theological Seminary, Past President of the Board of Trustees of the National Kidney Foundation, and has sat on the Greater Dallas Board of Realtors Ethics and Professional Conduct Review Board.
