Chaz Smith is the senior member of The LandSource Group at Colliers International. The structure of the team is organized around the strengths of each individual. - Assemblage of 23 single-family homes for development of high density, infill multifamily development at Camelback & SR 51, Phoenix, AZ - $5.6 million. Client: Gray Development
- Sale of 5200 acres to master plan community developer, Florence, AZ. Client: BHP Copper Company
- Sale of Plaza del Rio, 76-acre multiuse park. Five separate transactions. Client: Sun Health Properties
- Purchase of 60 acres. Assemblage of 4 parcels for hospital campus Baseline and Higley, Mesa, AZ. Client: Vanguard Hospital
- Sale of 19-acre parcel for office development at Bell and Loop 101, Scottsdale, Arizona. Parcel located in two cities, frontage required flood control and Corp of Engineers’ approval. Client: Investment Equity
PRIOR EXPERIENCE
Chaz started his commercial real estate career at CB Richard Ellis, selling apartments. During his 20 years with the company, he transitioned from apartments sales to the sale of land for apartment developments. Prior to joining Colliers, Chaz specialized in land at NAI Horizon for two and a half years. His experience in the sale of apartments solidified his awareness of the value of proximate amenities to land locations. He translates this into every land use from residential to retail and office.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
- Phoenix Redevelopment Investment and Development Effort (PRIDE) – Board Member. PRIDE is a non-profit focused on providing quality housing for low-income residents of Phoenix from 1994 – 2007.
- AZ District Council of ULI Program Committee from 1999-2004; Co-Chair 2001 to 2004.
