Profile
CORPORATE EXPERIENCE
Scott, a Dallas native, has accumulated almost three decades of commercial real estate experience, beginning his career in 1981. In 1987, he formed The Morse Company, which he led for 18 years while solidifying a reputation for quality, market knowledge, personal service and integrity. The reputation that Scott built was a key ingredient to the acquisition of The Morse Company by Colliers International in 2005. In 2009, Scott’s performance ranked him 41st within the Colliers International organization of over 10,000. Scott is appreciative of the opportunity to advise a substantial and varied client-base which returns to him year-in and year-out. He has been nominated virtually every year since 2004 as one of the “Heavy Hitters” by Dallas Business Journal for his performance in the Dallas/Fort Worth market. While nominated three times previously, Scott was named as a finalist for the Stemmons Service Award in 2004. The Stemmons Service Award is awarded annually to the member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors who best exemplifies the highest standards of the industry, who is proven industry leader and has achieved the respect of his/her peers. Also, in 2004, Scott successfully directed the formation of the CCIM Partners International Network, an international commercial real estate network of over 7,500 members. He was part of a select group nationally to participate in the Jay Levine Leadership Academy of the CCIM Institute in 2004. In 2003, Scott was recognized by the Dallas Business Journal as a “Metroplex Top Producer” and was named a “Top Investment Sales Heavy Hitter.” In 2002, he was recognized by the Dallas Business Journal as a “Heavy Hitter” as well as winning “The Best Real Estate Deal of 2001: Best New Office Development” and the William C. Jennings Lone Star Award from the Texas Association of Realtors for the outstanding commercial transaction of the year, for his work on behalf of Flextronics International. Scott attained the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, considered the “producer’s master’s degree” in real estate in 1991. Scott believes in giving back to his community and the industry he serves. He has served in the following capacities: Tri-Chair for the Broker and Developer Committee for the Richardson Chamber of Commerce, Board of Directors and past President for the North Texas CCIM Chapter, Board of Directors for the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, Board of Director and Chairman for the Richardson YMCA, President of the J.J. Pearce High School Exchange Club, an organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse, Board member and President of the J.J.
