The recognized electronics manufacturer, Flextronics, will expand into new warehouse and office premises in Starzone industrial park in Pardubice starting in December 2008.
11/25/2008, Prague, Czech Republic - Given the close cooperation with its major clients - the electronics manufacturer Foxconn and its partners – Flextronics has made a decision to expand its warehousing and manufacturing space. The goal was to find suitable facility in Pardubice, where the Foxconn’s production capacities are located, or in the closest possible proximity of the city to improve possibilities of future cooperation.
“The Starzone industrial park, located in the eastern part of the city, seemed like the best solution, especially due to the fact that Foxconn is the major tenant there“ says Karel Stransky, Director of Industial Department of Colliers International. Flextronics has taken up more than 7,600 sq m in the biggest warehouse totaling 15,000 sq m and almost 1,000 sq m of the adjacent office premises. “The owner of the park has thereby all of its premises leased“ adds Stransky, who exclusively represented the landlord in the transaction negotiations.
The Starzone industrial park is located in Pardubice, the centre of Eastern Bohemia, and close to the D11 highway. It consists of two standalone warehouse or production halls with the total area of 27,000 sq m. The site meets all requirements of the “Class A“ standard. Significant improvement in the transport infrastructure is being planned in the region, e.g. construction of the new R35 expressway and also construction of another part of the city ring road which will improve the access to the eastern part of Pardubice. Moreover, construction of warehouses for retail purposes is being planned on the adjacent sites. Over the next few years, this will turn the eastern part of the city into a business centre similar to those in Prague (e.g. Pruhonice).
