Doug Demers will lead new Studio© team as principal
December 17, 2008, Seattle, WA – Colliers International is pleased to announce Doug Demers has joined the firm as principal of the Advance Planning Studio©. Studio is a strategic consulting team based in the Corporate Services group of Colliers. The team is dedicated to analysis, research and implementation of holistic real estate solutions. Demers is a leader in corporate real estate planning and design, workplace strategy and global service delivery models.
The Colliers Studio team was formed to assist clients reduce risk, maximize returns and make quality property decisions. The team will also develop a framework that positions a client’s real estate to accommodate changes in business needs, assists clients in location selection and creates property efficiencies/opportunities.
In this new role, Demers will lead Collier’s Studio team and provide integrated support to all Colliers locations worldwide. “Doug is a talented professional, recognized as a leader in his field” said Doug Frye, CEO of Colliers. “He has tremendous knowledge and experience in the vision and planning of innovative real estate solutions. Doug will be a valued asset of the firm and our clients – we are very excited to have him join the Colliers team,” Frye added.
Previous to Colliers, Demers’ was a managing principal for Chicago based Perkins + Will in Seattle and Dallas, principal in charge of global accounts for HOK, and a director of workplace at Callison Architecture. He has advised Fortune 100 companies on aligning real estate, workplace and business plans and published and presented leading industry papers at CORENET, DBIA and IFMA. Demers is committed to sustainable building practices and is a LEED accredited professional.
