December 5, 2008, Seattle, WA – Colliers International announced that Peter Truex has been named the new Senior Managing Director for the Puget Sound region in January 2009 following the departure of John Powers. Truex will have the responsibility of supervising the management of Colliers Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma and Olympia offices in the state of Washington.
Truex joined Colliers in 2004 and is currently a Senior Vice President in the Seattle office. He is a twenty five year veteran of the commercial real estate service sector and will bring a great depth of knowledge to this role. Throughout his long and varied career, Truex has focused on many aspects of the business, including landlord representation, corporate services, relocation searches, sales professional training and management. His clients have included some of the region’s premier financial services companies and he has also represented many of the area’s law firms and philanthropic organizations.
