CPS Container Packing Station’s move into brand-new industrial park VGP Park Horni Pocernice confirms trend of logistics moving into the most modern facilities
10/02/2008, Prague, Czech Republic – Prague’s largest industrial park, VGP Park Horni Pocernice, will be welcoming a new tenant – logistics solution provider CPS Container Packing Station starting in October 2008.
“CPS decided to leave its present premises in Prague 9 which were unsatisfactory but didn’t want to move much further because of its clients and employees. Therefore, our task was to find top-class space as close as possible to the client’s former location,“ says Karel Stransky, Director of Industrial Services at Colliers International Czech Republic, which exclusively represented CPS in negotiating the deal.
CPS leased 5,800 m2 of temporary warehouse space in May. In the meantime, a sole cross-docking facility totalling 8,700 m2 has been built to suit in order to meet the demanding requirements of a modern logistics company. “The trend of logistics moving into brand-new facilities began two years ago. Former prime areas, which were leased by companies five to seven years ago, are no longer up-to-date and can’t be used efficiently. Moreover, rents in comparison to provided service standard are too expensive. Therefore, more and more companies are tending to shift into completely brand-new areas,” added Stransky.
VGP Park Horni Pocernice is the largest and fastest developing industrial park in Prague. It consists of more than 800,000 m2 directly bordering the R10 highway, but is also only 1,5 km from Cerny Most metro station in Prague. Its strategic location and costs level has already attracted many reputable tenants – companies such as IKEA Czech Republic, Siemens VDO Automotive, Lekkerland Czech Republic and Kofola.
