Community Involvement - Our People are Involved!

An integral part of the culture, structure and purpose of Colliers is to give back to the community by individual and company involvement through financial support, charitable giving, volunteerism, and active participation. We recognize they we have a responsibility to the community in which we live and do business.

Community involvement is not something that can be forced upon anyone – it comes from the heart. We are proud to be an organization of people who show they have "heart" every day in every way. As you look through this list, you will see the wide variety of charities and organizations that we support every day.

Brokers for Kids
Our official company charity is "Brokers for Kids," which was started in 1999 by the Scottsdale Active 20/30 Club with the sole purpose of uniting the commercial brokerage community for a common cause – helping children in need. Brokers for Kids is a year-long event involving 24 teams, which compete to raise money for local children's charities. The team that raises the greatest amount is named the Broker's Cup Champion. We celebrate the fundraising with a day at the park held in February at Tempe Towne Lake, with an "Olympiad" competition. Fundraising proceeds benefit Boys Hope Girls Hope of Arizona (50%), the Scottsdale Active 20/30 Foundation to benefit local children’s charities (30%), and the Broker’s Cup Champion identifies a children's charity of their choice to receive 20% of the proceeds.

Colliers hosts a series of fundraising activities throughout the year for Brokers for Kids, and everyone is encouraged to donate to this worthy cause.

HOLIDAY ADOPT-A-FAMILY
For the past 10 years, during the holiday season, Colliers sponsors one or two families thru an area Adopt-a-Family Program. This program helps families in crisis with money, gifts, food and other assistance at the holiday season.

The people of Colliers open up their hearts and their wallets to provide the families with food, clothing, toys, appliances, furniture, gift cards and more. Colliers elves go shopping, wrap the gifts, and help deliver everything. Dan Skiles in REMS plays Santa Claus on delivery day.

HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE
Annual toy drive to benefit children’s organizations through Metro Phoenix.
