Q4-2007 Edmonton Office Highlights
Edmonton to see construction of the first office tower in over 18 years! EPCOR announced on December 7, 2007 that they have formally agreed to a 20-year lease with Qualico Developments to occupy over 265,000 square feet in a new 28-storey, 614,000 square foot LEED standard office tower to be constructed on the southeast corner of 101 Street and 105A Avenue.
Four out of seven suburban office districts recorded a vacancy rate under 5 per cent at year-end 2007. The Whyte Avenue District outshined all districts this year with all office space being absorbed and recording a ZERO per cent vacancy with year-to-date positive net absorption of 24,937 square feet.
