New Zealand Research Report - April 2006
Report Summary

Welcome to our April report covering activity in March 2006. The big news in March for the economy was the fall in the Kiwi dollar, which some commentators have suggested will result in a resurgence of buying activity from overseas investors, who can now get more property for their money. But it is not quite simple as that. Investors who borrow typically do so in the jurisdiction where the asset lies, often have hedging to reduce currency risk, and in any event if they don’t, would only pay a sharper yield for a good property reasons.
