The Financial Class A Office District recorded a slight increase in vacancy of 0.05 per cent to 2.34% due to the inclusion of the recently completed “Cecil Place”. Cecil Place is a 43,000 square foot, three-storey, Class A office building anchored by the new urban format Sobeys and is located on the northwest corner of Jasper Avenue and 104 Street. In the Suburban Office Market, we saw two districts with two new developments added in the second quarter totalling 144,000 square feet. The first one was Commerce South Business Park Building “E”, a 64,000 square foot, three-storey office building that was pre-leased by our Colliers office team and is located at 4308 - 87 Street. The second new building was the Syndicate Finning Project; an 80,000 square foot office building that will be occupied by Finning and is located directly behind the Mayfield Inn on 109 Avenue and Mayfield Road in Edmonton’s west end.
