Q1-2008 Edmonton Office Highlights
The Financial Class A Office District recorded a slight vacancy
decline of 0.42 per cent to 2.29 per cent with the re-classification of
two office towers. ATB Place and ATCO Centre have been
upgraded to the Class A designation from Class B and have added over 450,000
square feet to the Financial District's inventory.
Edmonton's Southside Office District has over 304,000 square feet
currently under construction. The district recorded over
203,000 square feet of positive net absorption in the first quarter; and
also had over 212,000 square feet of net new supply with Commerce South
Business Park - Building D (74,000 sq.ft.), the Dell Building (120,000
sq.ft.), and the newly redeveloped Whitemud Square (18,250 sq.ft.).
