SUMMARY FOR GREATER METROPOLITAN MONTREAL
Despite the economic situation and the arrival of 450,000 square feet of
new supply in the second quarter, the vacancy rate for the Greater Montreal
Area has decreased to 6.81% from 7.10%. This decrease in vacancy is across
the board in both new and older inventory. The vacancies, however, are
concentrated within a group of large properties, all of which are empty,
whereas the multi-tenant properties are in better shape.
