The Pierce County Offi ce Market showed little advance
or decline over third quarter of 2008. Total vacancy rose less than one
point from 7.89% to 8.62%, however, it can
be partially attributed to new additions to the market inventory. The newest
building to the market is Puyallup’s 19,153 square foot River Walk Plaza
which was completed
in July of this year.
Negative net absorption was reported this quarter at 18,184 square feet,
derived mainly from Tacoma’s CBD Class-B and Gig Harbor’s Class-A offi
ce space sectors.
