Q3-2008 Edmonton Office Highlights: Currently, there is over 700,000 square feet of office development in the City of Edmonton. Of the 700,000 square feet, 450,000 square feet is being developed in the south side and west end suburban markets. Five suburban districts experienced a vacancy decrease at the end of September 2007. The Whyte Avenue District continues to be the best performing market with only a 0.69 per cent vacancy with year-to-date absorption totalling 20,996 square feet. With only 4,000 square feet of available space in the Garneau Professional Building, this District continues to outshine all others within the Suburban Office Market.
